Local Legends Wall

McComb- Veazey’s first Local Legends Wall and the 12th & Surrey LIVE was made possible by the Creativity Everywhere Grant from Downtown Lafayette. The Coterie worked with artist Adrian Fulton (shown in photo) to recognize nine of our local legends.

Historic Preservation

The Historic Preservation Project is an opportunity for the community to recognize people and locations within the neighborhood of significant historic value. To date, 4 historic markers have been installed across the community. Locations: Immaculate Heart of Mary, 12th St; The African American Mardi Gras, 14th and S. Magnolia St; Helma Constantine, 11th St and House of Faith, Jefferson St.
